The philosophy behind Ashley House Clinical Services is to partner NHS bodies, in particular Primary Care Trusts and GP consortia, supporting clinicians to develop solutions to meet the demands of the new NHS. With an emphasis on embracing Practice Based Commissioning, bringing care closer to the patient within a community setting, Ashley House Clinical Services Ltd is able to develop creative solutions that can be adapted to meet the needs of the population.

Offering expertise from both PCT and Foundation Trust level, Ashley House Clinical Services believes that in order to successfully deliver an NHS fit for the 21st Century, joint working is imperative. Thus we pride ourselves on our partnering approach, working with local clinicians who are best placed to understand patient need.

Ashley House Clinical Services Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ashley House Plc. Therefore the parent company is able to act as financial guarantor for the projects that the clinical services division undertakes. In doing so, the clinical services division is able to shoulder any financial risk associated with a project, as well as provide initial capital investment, allowing the clinical component of the partnership to focus their attentions on service redesign and delivery.

In taking this approach, Ashley House Clinical Services believes it brings a new dimension to the market. As a national company, Ashley House is able to support clinicians with the business acumen gained over the past fifteen years, whilst retaining a local presence. By combining our commercial experience with the confidence of the local population that clinicians retain, we believe we can provide unique, turn key solutions that keep the patient central to all episodes of care.

The work streams that the Clinical Services division is focusing on centre around recent Department of Heath guidance, in particular the White Paper; Our health, Our Care, Our Say: a new direction for Community Services. Key projects include;

• the redesign and development of Health Parks & Community Hospitals
• the acquisition of GP practices in conjunction with local clinicians
• the development of bespoke clinical services specific to the population profile
