The co-location and integration of health and social care services alongside wellness / fitness services create a dynamic and supported environment with simple and more effective pathways.

Specialised, regional specific services can be delivered to the heart of communities and complimented with wellness, fitness and diagnostic services, providing a ‘soft’ platform for the promotion of preventative actions.

Anchored by a GP surgery and a range of ‘out of hospital’ services including extended diagnostic services, a health park can also provide a comprehensive choice of extra care. This will likely be in the form of a care home, assisted living units and dementia / special needs units. The Health ‘mix’ will be supported by pharmacy and also ancillary services such as opticians and complementary health providers.

At the hub there could be a corner shop, a café /restaurant and other community uses such as a fitness centre and a possibly some key worker accommodation.
