NHS LIFT

Providing a 'whole estates' management service delivering quality PCT led primary care premises developments

NHS LIFT was established by the Department of Health as a method of delivering a significant upgrade and reconfiguration of the Primary Care estate.

Ashley House is a private sector partner in 7 of the country’s 47 NHS LIFT Companies. Each NHS LIFT company is a public private partnership comprising:

60% private sector partner
20% local Primary Care Trust(s)
20% Community Health Partnerships (Dept of Health)

Each LIFT company has an exclusive right to deliver primary care projects for the PCT and an ability to work for Local Authorities in the area. The arrangements have around 16 years to run unless extended.

These long term arrangements allow Ashley House the opportunity to engage with PCTs and local communities and help develop service and estates strategies from which a sustainable programme of estate development emerges.
