A single access point for a range of health services for the local community

Description: 5GP Practice including pharmacy

Project Status: Planning application submitted February 2009

Project brief: The practice has outgrown it’s existing premises and is operating from a converted house in the town centre with limited parking. Ashley House has been appointed to provide a solution to relocate the practice into expanded premises from which they can extend the number of healthcare services. The new location had to be very close to their existing surgery due to a town centre primary care presence needing to be maintained.

Project solution: Two storey, modern, DDA compliant premises offering flexible accommodation, expansion space and ample parking all within half a mile of the existing premises.

Points of interest: The proposed development site at Eastover Park was formerly occupied by a gym that was housed in buildings originally used by the US military in the 1940s. It is hoped that this new surgery development will be seen as the first important step towards the regeneration of Eastover.
