A seamless decant to temporary accommodation during the build period
Project Brief: The Gillies & Overbridge Practice appointed Ashley House to provide new premises to accommodate a 7 GP Practice together with PCT Clinical Services, Out of Hours service, Dental Practice, Red Cross and Pharmacy.
Project Solution: After a long unsuccessful search for a suitable site, the GPs negotiated to purchase their existing premises from HA. Planning consent was gained for a refurbish and some
redevelopment of the building. The Practice decanted into temporary buildings on a site rented from the local Council, to the rear of the existing HC. The new building has an internal courtyard,
and features a two storey height waiting area with a floor at mezzanine level, leading off to a wing for Private patients.
Project solution: The building is of a high specification with a feature internal courtyard, a two storey height waiting area and is fully air conditioned throughout. The building also houses a dentist
surgery, pharmacy and chiropractor.
