Bucks, Aylesbury, Elmhurst Surgery
A five-partner 600m² building with six consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and a Nurse Practitioner room, as well as extra space for PCT-backed services,
Their Old Premises
The five-partner Mandeville surgery was originally housed in a small, dark, single storey building forming part of an integrated shopping precinct. The surgery was approaching the end of a lease period. A number of shops in the precinct had closed down and been boarded up, which made the surgery more vulnerable to vandalism.
There was no room for this growing practice to expand into.
Description of Work
Ashley House was engaged to build a five-partner 600m² building with six consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and a Nurse Practitioner room, as well as extra space for PCT-backed services, such as physiotherapy. The building was designed to allow for future expansion as the patient list grows.
Programme
Ashley House met the Practice and were selected as the preferred development partner.
After searching for a local site for three years, a Council owned car park was secured and designs were developed with the Practice
The construction process was managed by an AH in house Contracts Manager and the completed building was handed over ahead of target date.
