A two phased development allows the practice to double in size, offering an extended range of health services
Description: 4 GP Practice with minor ops suite
Project Status: Phase 1 due for completion end of October 2009
Project brief: The practice had outgrown its existing premises which was a converted boiler house that originally served the surrounding housing estate. After securing extra land from the local Council phase 1 of the building commenced behind the existing premises, once complete the practice will be able to decant into the new building allowing the demolition of the existing building to be carried out followed by the construction of phase 2. The expanded premises will allow the practice to take on an extra 2 full time GPs extending the number of healthcare services they provide. Most importantly to the practice; developing on site allowed them to remain at the heart of their community.
Project solution Two phased, modern, DDA compliant premises offering flexible accommodation,
expansion space and extra parking.
Points of interest: The minor ops room has an air exchange unit and adjacent recovery room allowing the practice to offer far wider services.
