DDA compliant, fit for purpose premises to replace temporary unit
Location: Hartfield, East Sussex
Project brief: To replace the temporary unit from which the Practice currently operates with a new, fit for purpose, state of the art health facility. This will enable the GPs to serve the community to the best of their abilities and provide additional services that couldn’t be done from their current premises.
Project solution: After an extensive site search working closely with Hartfield Parish Council, The Buckhurst Estate and the PCT, it was agreed that Old Crown Farm would be the perfect
location for the new building. This rural location will enable first class interior and exterior environments for patient care, and with a growing population this has never been such an important factor.
Points of interest: The Old Crown Farm site is situated within a conservation area and is outside the development boundary of the village of Hartfield. The design of the new Surgery had to be sympathetic to it’s surroundings, therefore extensive consultation with Wealden Council planning department, Hartfield Parish Council and local residents helped us to come up with a design that sits perfectly within this attractive, East Sussex village.
